I can see where this might be a bit of a nuisance but the fact that you're posting a reminder here is a good thing and the pre-recorded reminders are awesome too!
When one of our neighborhoods out here underwent an area code change due to similar circumstances, there was no such thing as a courtesy reminder!

You're right Ricardo, this pre-recorded reminder is a good thing. As much as we all complained about it at first, I think most of us have already adopted the 10 digit dialing. There is a method to their madness. ;-)

The third area code has officially arrived: I got a new phone number today, and it's 587-580-xxxx.
The only trouble is: hardly anybody can actually reach me at that number! Most carriers are still unable to route the call, which seriously pisses me off. They've had a lot of time to prepare for this...

Thanks for the update and the heads up Joey. You're right, they've had more than enough time to get ready for this. I'm afraid that we're going to be in for a few more road blocks before all the kinks are smoothed out.
